The difference between soft washing and pressure washing is not strength, it is approach. Pressure washing removes material mechanically. Soft washing applies a cleaning solution at low pressure, holds it on the surface long enough to break down organic growth, then rinses.
That matters because most of what discolours a house on the coast is alive. Algae, mildew, lichen and moss all root into the surface. Treating them kills the growth through the full depth. Blasting them only takes the visible layer, which is why a pressure-only wash tends to come back far quicker.

Questions about soft washing
Is soft washing strong enough to actually clean?
Yes, and on organic growth it is more effective. The limitation of pressure is that it only removes what it can physically dislodge. A solution reaches into the surface and kills the growth, so the surface comes back cleaner and stays that way longer.
Is it safe around plants and pets?
Landscaping is saturated with water before, during and after so nothing sits on foliage, and everything is rinsed down at the end. We ask that pets stay indoors while we are working, the same as we would for any exterior work.
