Patio cleaning in Jacksonville, NC
Patios need more care than a driveway, because the surface is usually more decorative and the joints matter.

Concrete, pavers, flagstone and stamped finishes all behave differently under pressure. Pavers and flagstone have jointing sand or mortar between them that can be blown out if the approach is wrong. Stamped concrete has a decorative surface and often a sealer over it, both of which can be damaged by working too aggressively.
We set the method against the surface rather than the other way round. Most patios clean up beautifully — the colour that comes back out of flagstone and paver once the organic film is off is usually the part people are surprised by.

Questions about patio cleaning
Will cleaning blow the sand out of my paver joints?
It can, if it is done with too much pressure at too close a range. We work pavers at a distance and angle that lifts the growth without cutting the joints. If joint sand is already washed out or the joints have failed, we will flag that — re-sanding is a separate job and worth doing after cleaning rather than before.
